I really hate to agree with ESPN's Skip Bayless about anything, but I do agree with what he said about a Burress/Coughlin re-marriage.

The clock is ticking, and we have almost arrived at the witching hour for free agency. At 6pm eastern, the flood gates open and teams are able to sign free agents to their new deals. The last 48 hours have seen the Dallas Cowboys emerge as potential suitors for two of the 2011 season's biggest free agents. Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha and defensive end Cullen Jenkins play on the two units the Cowboys could most use the help; defensive line and secondary. As it stands now, the team is ridiculously thin at both, however most look at the safety position as the primary secondary need instead of corner.Nnamdi Asomugha is one of the league's best corners. He truly ascended when he was under the tutelage of Rob Ryan in Oakland. His signing would probably bring an end to the Terrence Newman era in Big D, as the corner has a huge price tag with only one season remaining. Under the old CBA rules, cutting Newman would free up $5 million in cap space, but would add $3 million to 2012's dead money total (estimated). Newman has been a game competitor, but he has missed time and played injured in several games.

High Chicago bears

The Steelers are releasing Max Starks and Antwaan Randle-El, they announced today. Starks is coming back from neck surgery, and was widely assumed to be coming back to take his tackle position back. I imagine the destinations are pure speculation on Kelly's part. And for the Raiders, on the surface, it makes sense. They need another QB on the roster. They could use someone as a possible long term solution, and Al Davis was widely reported to like Young coming out of college

I don't see this move happening though. Davis' days of taking on players that have the kind of off the field demons that Young has exhibited are in the past. We can all thank JaMarcus Russell for tha.

Maybe if Young could prove that he is ready to focus on football this move would happen, but if that is the case there will be plenty of teams interested. It's too bad. I think if Young was dedicated, he could be a great fit here. The dimension he would bring to an already dynamic running game could buckle defenses. Also, Young throws a damn nice deep ball. In fact, in 2010 Pro Football Focus charted him for having the best percentage on deep passes (they ruled a deep pass as any ball traveling over 20 yards down field in the air)

I have been a long time proponent of Olsen's and feel the 26 year old TE will be the safety valve Cam Newton needs along with Jeremy Shockey. Depending on who the player is we gave up, this is a very bright day for the Panthers

This is the type of story I can't even comment on and be able to look myself in the mirror with a straight face ever again.  But, its out there. ESPN's John Clayton reports Ochocinco had to restructure his contract to get the deal done. Now he has a new three-year deal in New England.
Ochocinco to the Raiders had been a rumor ever since Hue Jackson was named head coach, and Chad tweeted something to the effect that Hue Jackson was the greatest coach he had ever worked with. I was skeptical with that rumor, or any rumor connecting the Raiders to wide receiver. My thinking was that the Raiders would give their young receivers one more year to develop.
